Naira Marley or Zlatan- Who Could Outlast The other in The Music Industry?

It is no news that majority of music lovers are vibing well with the Marlian and Zanku musical contents more than any other brand right now.
In fact, apart from the legendary status of 2baba, the exquisity of Davido and Wizkid, and the ever impressive sounds of Burnerboy, there seem to be no sound more popular than that of the Zlatan and Naira Marley.
And in this article, the two artists are gonna be examined from different relevant factors to reach a conclusion of who we think would last longer on the music scene. And the factors under consideration are: popularity& acceptablity, sound, cult followership, public opinion and future.

Popularity& Acceptability

Naira Marley, since his breakthrough onto the Nigerian music scene, has been proving to be a formidable force to reckon with.
Zlatan as well has been very consistent with his musical contents and seriously, as young as he is, he is giving all the established rappers a run for their money.
Popularity and acceptability of the two artists is massive as their fanbase right now is unarguably the largest.
Verdict: Naira Marley 50% Zlatan 50%

Sound

The two of them have redefined modern afrobeats and in fact any party without Marley and Zlatan songs on the playlist is like a basketball game with no court.
However, Naira Marley has been a little more outstanding as almost every song is proving to be a hit.
Zlatan is possibly the most featured Yoruba indigenous rapper since his breakthrough. Without doubt, his style and sound is really captivating.
He further proved to have a strong grip on singing too with his top level performance on Bolanle and Yeye Boyfriend.
Verdict: Without taking away anything from these two outstanding artists, Naira Marley has this with a slight victory margin.
Naira 60% Zlatan 40%.

Cult Followership

Is there any movement bigger than the Marlian movement right now?
Even Zlatan is a Marlian.
Verdict: Nothing to verdict on. Is it not obvious?

Public Opinion

Music is public and they cannot be separated. One who is into music takes so seriously his relationship with the public among whom are his fans.
And honestly, apart from the fact that Naira Marley is really loved naturally, his ways of doing some things are so condemnable.
From his Soapy dance to his well reported trial by the country's security agencies, his ideologies and lots more.
However, we shouldn't take away from him the fact that he's an easy going dude as described by those who have met him.
Naira has a mixed public opinion, his fans believe he personifies the modern youth who shows the system what it looks like and what it reeks of.
On the hand, Zlatan has not been known to be involved in controversies apart from the public arrest and detention of Naira Marley, Aremo Gucci, Rahman Jago, Bessiloaded and himself.
And in fact, this incident was capitalized upon by Naira Marley's PR team.
Zlatan appeals to all and he doesn't seem to be a noisemaker or attention seeker. He just does his things and moves on without trying to be controversial in any way.
Verdict: On public opinion, Zlatan has it as the young man appeals to all- the good, moderate and razz unlike Naira Marley.

Future

What do I mean by this future self? Well, this is an effort to look at how durable the artists are in respect to all factors above and their ongoing musical work to remain relevant for a long time to come.
Sincerely, both of them have been very impressive in maintaining a very strong identity to compete in this very competitive music industry.
Expectedly, both have gone ahead to create their record labels with Zanku To The World to Zlatan and Marlian Music to Naira Marley.
They have both invested hugely into this business side of their hustle and they have both signed up very good and talented young artists to complement their efforts in maintaining their empire.
As at this time of the year, only Naira Marley has really sold his artists, Mohbad, T Black and Zeenoliski to his fans and they are really winning hearts with their absolute beautiful delivery on their respective songs.
The three young artists bring different styles to the table and Naira Marley is sure to survive if tides change as time goes on.
Zlatan has also signed up some really young and talented artists to his record label.
However, they are yet to make that leap and impression on music lovers. Certainly, everything is time and their songs may later dominate the airwaves.
But as at now, Naira Marley seem to be the most covered when it comes futuristic moves being made as his artists are really trusted to be talents.
Verdict: This is too early to make a verdict and anything can be springboard to a breakthrough in this industry. The year is still young.
